Manchester United’s U19s welcomed Villarreal to Leigh Sports Village on Wednesday afternoon in the UEFA Youth League. The United 19s got their campaign off to a strong start as they defeated BSC Young Boys 1-0 earlier this month. But they suffered a damaging defeat, losing 4-1. Shola Shoretire, who was named United’s Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year last term, captained United but he couldn’t prevent a disastrous first-half performance from Neil Wood’s side. Alvaro Fernandez scored a late header to reduce the arrears. Watch Manchester United vs Villarreal HD live stream free to the following link:

Fred and McTominay in midfield mean Paul Pogba is likely to start on the left-wing. It’s worth remembering he featured in a deeper role in the Europa League final, and this role gives him a chance to make a greater attacking impact.

He can take the pressure off Bruno Fernandes, who was too isolated in the attack in Gdansk. Fernandes will be determined to bounce back from his penalty miss at the weekend.
